When choosing a pre-school, every parent wants to find the one that is just right for their child. Crannog na Leanai provides a warm and nurturing environment for children.
We are a Steiner Waldorf inspired Kindergarten – the only one of this kind in County Wexford. The kindergarten is a registered charity and run on a not-for-profit basis.
The aim of Steiner Waldorf education is to enable each child to fully develop their unique capacities. In the years since it was first developed, Steiner Waldorf education has become the largest independent educational movement worldwide.
We focus on educating the whole child—balancing the development of their social, practical and creative skills. Learning is in an unhurried way, giving children the time to develop self confidence. The school fosters in children a respect each other and for the environment around them. We work with children’s natural interest in the environment around them and outdoor play and learning is central to what we do.
Crannog na Leanai offers pre-school education for children from two and a half to six years of age. We participate in the Department of Children and Youth Affairs’ Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) scheme.
For younger children and we also have a parent and toddler group . Children come to the school from the local area, North County Wexford and from south County Wicklow.
Parents are encouraged to contact Sarah Murphy, Kindergarten teacher/manager to arrange a visit to the school and see what we have to offer.
We value the importance
of play as one of the
healthiest ways the child digests
